$500k in charitable donations!

Since day one, Synergy Technologies have set out to operate a business with a difference; to be an organization that put people before profits.  Our number one value as a business is “People First.”  We do this by:

• Focusing on building a strong internal team that supports each other and builds each other up & continually investing into our culture.
• Building lasting relationships with our customers and truly embracing the “service” component of being a service provider.
• Ensuring that a set portion of operating profit goes out into our community by supporting some amazing local organizations who are lifting up and supporting those in need in our local community.

As with most businesses, we keep a close eye on our financial performance.  We set targets, we review our P&L’s, billable vs non-billable hours, revenue, GP, etc.  All of these measures are important and should be reviewed to ensure a business is in a healthy position, but at Synergy Technologies we had another number that we have kept a close eye on as a team.

This last year we set a BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) of hitting the target of $500,000 in total charitable donations to-date by the end of 2022.  These funds go out to amazing charitable organization partners in our community like Good Neighbour and others who tirelessly pour so much energy into supporting people who need it most. This seemed like a big number, particularly as a small business, but we were committed to see how much of an impact we could make.

As we go into the holiday season, I am exceptionally pleased to say that not only were we able to achieve this goal, but we were able to exceed it! 

I’d like to give a huge thanks to our amazing team who worked so hard to achieve these goals and our incredible customers who we are privileged to work with each day.  More than just working with the best IT enablement organization in the country (ok, we may be a bit biased…), you have allowed us to be generous and make a difference in this beautiful community we call home – in a time when it’s needed more than ever. Our heart is full and for that I thank you all.  As we say around here – Stay Humble, Work Hard and most importantly Be Kind!
